This rug was hand-hooked during the second quarter of the 20th century in the United States likely in the New England region.
This cheerful rug features a colorful and idiosyncratic design of squares and other geometric shapes, reminiscent of a Tetris game. Each shape is outlined in black, to give a definition to the design. Hooked rugs in this size are rare and harder to find, making this particular rug a very special piece.
In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age. Recycled materials hooked onto a burlap back, heavy handle. The rug has been backed with fabric to better secure the piece for use on the floor.
